Population is a complex and multifaceted phenomenon that has always been of interest to social scientists as a strategic issue and a key factor in the stability and dynamism of societies. Motahari, a prominent Muslim philosopher and thinker, has addressed the issue of population by providing in-depth social and cultural analyses. This article was written with the aim of examining Allameh Motahari's social and cultural explanations regarding population. The research method in this study was documentary and library, and the data was collected through examining his works and processed using the content analysis method in order to present a comprehensive picture of his views on population. The findings indicate that Professor Motahari, on the one hand, criticized the ideas of demographers who opposed population growth, and on the other hand, considered birth control after fertilization to be contrary to religious teachings and its consequences to be dangerous for humanity. He considered childbearing to be an innate thing with many functions and answered doubts about childbearing. In his opinion, birth control in Islamic societies is a colonial policy that has unfortunate consequences for humanity. In his opinion, limiting the generation is the result of the family leaving the center of raising the generation. He considers the child to be the capital of life, a factor in the survival of the species, influential in the personality of the parents, a perfectionist for the mother, and has spiritual functions. He rejected doubts about the increase in population and believes that population is not the cause of poverty and the enemy of women's beauty, and that children's livelihood is guaranteed, and they are not the enemy of man, but a factor for testing parents on their path to growth. Motahari can be considered among the thinkers who believe in a proportionate population. His approach is based on the flow of the second commandment in important social issues.
