The movement of feminism began its activity with the claim of implementing justice for women and with the slogan of equality between men and women. This movement, which was created in the secular atmosphere of the West, underwent changes in different periods under the influence of the same currents that dominate the West, which can be divided into liberal feminism, Marxist feminism, socialist feminism, and radical feminism. The influence of Western ideas on the Islamic world led to the entry of this movement into the intellectual and cultural space of Islamic societies. Initially, this movement was not well received in the Islamic world due to its secular approaches; therefore, Muslim supporters of feminism began to publish it in the Islamic world under the title "Islamic Feminism". Malaysia, which had a diverse and colorful culture, like many Islamic countries, gradually became a platform for the growth of feminism, one of which is the "Muslim Sisters Association" movement. This article, using an explanatory-interpretive method and in a library style, seeks to critically explain the feminism movement with an emphasis on feminism in Malaysia based on Quranic anthropology. This article seeks to show in detail that Islamic feminism imposes its theories on Islam by historicizing man, his understanding, and religious texts, and in fact, distorts religious statements on issues related to women.
